Sirius Cooks in January/February
Products and the store
Hello all,
It has been awhile between emails, but we're still moving faster than we expected, thanks to all of you! We've added different foods, hand-made leather collars and leashes, different healthy meat treats, Sense-ible Harnesses and many other options so be sure to drop in before Valentine's Day if you need a special gift.
We hope you're staying warm in these days, and finding the sun when it appears. We're currently at the store, adding shelves for products and cooking up our own storm.
Tonight we made some Speckles' Poultry Stew (Turkey) and some Winter Beef Stew (Stew meat) and some more of the tasty Make Yah Lean Green Beans food add-in. We still have a few left of Zoe's Chicken Stew and Jenna's Icelandic Stew (Haddock).
Tip: We're now getting fancy and "stickering" the bottom of the containers for the creation date. Our handwriting didn't last long on the bottom. Sirius Suppers have no preservatives, no additives - so should be treated as we would our own food. 3-4 days in the fridge, anything left over should be in the freezer.
We are meeting with our top holistic vet, Dr. Barbara E. Royal the end of this month to see about some health promoting treat offerings.
--> We are also going to be coming up with some special delights for your pets for February 14th. Stay tuned for more details!
Nutrition Seminar
That Sunday We Were Closed
Amazing! Four-hours of the fastest speaker who was also a holistic Vet, Dr. Karen Becker
In a real nutshell, she listed in order of the best nutrition: Raw, Home-made, Quality Canned, Quality Kibble and then the kibbles that shall remain nameless.
Did you know that the lowest priced kibbles are owned by the top 4 companies?: Mars Inc., Nestle, Procter & Gamble and Colgate-Palmolive Co. (that last one produces Hills Science Diet)
She also recommended diversity in feeding. Within a 3-month timeline, change-up the protein. She believes that allergies come from feeding the same food for years on end. If someone feeds their dog Beef for 12 years, they will get an allergy to Beef. Like us, we need to have variety. Food (no pun intended) for thought.
Upcoming in March
Fundraiser for Dr. Jean Dodds & Flavour Cooking School
We will be participating (along with Dr. Barbara Royal) for a fundraiser in Oak Park for Dr. Jean Dodds work.
"World-renown
vaccine research scientist and practicing veterinarian, Dr. W. Jean Dodds of California, and pet vaccine disclosure advocate, Kris L. Christine of Maine, have established The Rabies Challenge Fund to raise money to fund a 7 year rabies vaccine challenge study in the United
States. In addition to the challenge study, the fund will finance a study of the adjuvants
used in veterinary rabies vaccines and establish a rabies vaccine adverse reaction reporting system."
We've been invited to Flavour Cooking School (in Forest Park) to conduct a "Cooking for Your Dog" Class. Stay tuned or check out FlavourCookingSchool.com

What are YOU interested in? WE'RE going to send out a survey to you on the list subscribers. It will come in another email, only to this list, so only subscribers receive it. We understand how little time y'all have, but your help and suggestions would be appreciated!
Thanks,
